Dewey Klaphake
Co-Owner, A Stone's Throw EdVentures

Dewey has worked in the corporate world as a defense contractor for over 20 years. With a degree in Design Engineering and experience in Program Management, he obtained training in Government Contracting and Negotiating for Program Managers - Two arenas where personality understanding is critical to the curriculum. With his Defense Contracting/Program Management experience, Dewey regularly interfaces with regulatory agencies such as the U.S. Department of State & the Defense Ministries of various countries. Whether working within the U.S. or traveling internationally, he attributes his corporate success to building personal relationships and maintaining a personable approach by implementing his understanding of the role personalities play in his life and those he interacts with. These experiences have fueled his desire to share and facilitate his knowledge so that others can also find meaningful ways to balance career, self, marriage, and bonus/family. This desire is what led Dewey and his wife, Lisa to establish A Stone's Throw EdVentures.

Lisa Klaphake

The youngest of seven children, Lisa grew up hearing she "was just like her brother". Little did her parents know at the time she and her brother were the only 'Greens' in the sea of colors that made up the nine-member family. From the diversity of her family of origin through marriage, children, life-threatening illnesses, abusive relationships, depression, divorce, and a calling back to marriage, Lisa has remained an eternal, optimistic student. Lisa's corporate career has allowed her to hold positions in Print/Advertising Marketing, College Facility Maintenance, and Personnel/Human Resources. The success of her diverse corporate career largely hinged on her understanding and ability to draw upon the values, morals and desires set forth by personality. Now, as co-owner of A Stone's Throw EdVentures, she brings forth and shares her life experiences and wisdom as a Motivational Speaker, Writer, and Facilitator.
